Resources for teachers

I've been using the computer as a tool to enhance my teaching of Science for many years.

I began by making worksheets, then clour transparencies for use with OHPs, and then moved on to animated diagrams (GIFanims).

With the advent of the data projector, I began producing lessons Powerpoint, but found this too lacking in interactivity.

So then I learned to create games in Shockwave Flash - using a program called KoolMoves. I found that the interactivity that Flash brings (coupled with an interactive white-board) brought lessons back to life, making them much more fun. Even the least motivated students came to life! I've also used Flash to make diagrams and other presentations more interactive.

What's here?

Take a look at the samples of Flash games, and the animated GIF diagrams. You can download the GIFanims from the webpages, but if you want to use the Flash materials I ask you to register by filling in a simple form.

The Forensic Science project (in Powerpoint) has been a very popular download for some time now. I also ask you to register if you want to download this.
