When I try to login, there is a message "You could not be logged on to ISA server . . .
Make sure that you have used a backwards slash sign "\" to enter your user name as stbedes\xxxxxxx and not as stbedes/xxxxxxxx
I have an old version of Office (inc. Word) and cannot open the documents
Download and install the free Office Compatibility pack from here
When I try to download a file (e.g. assignment), it does not download.
Are you using Internet Explorer or a different browser?.
If you are using other browsers, right-click to download the file. Save the file on your own computer. To submit an assignment, select "submit file" instead of "submit".
When I try to submit a file, I have a very long complicated error message in red.
Have you left the file open? Try closing the file, then attempt submit file again.
Does the file have a very long name? If so, save it with a shorter file name.
(Teachers only) When I try to select e-learning actions to assign work, the option is not available.
You cannot assign work from a class site, you must assign work from within the department shared library.
(Teachers only) When I try to open a student's work, I am told that there is no suitable program available.
They have probably saved the file in OpenOffice format. Right click on the work and select "save as", then save it to your own computer. Then find the icon on your own computer, right click, and select "open with". Try "open with Wiord" as your first option, you could then try other programs e.g. Excel if it is a spreadsheet.
