Logging in
In school (i.e. from within the school network)
- after you have logged in to your school account, click on the icon "St Bede's VLE"
- you will be logged in as yourself
- you may change to a different user using the drop-down menu from by your account name.
From outside the school network (including the guest network)
- Most browsers should work in SharePoint. However (for staff) you can only upload multiple files using Internet Explorer.
- type into the address bar (NOT into Google search) "4602vle.cambsed.net" (without the inverted commas)
- a requester will appear
- for your user-name type in "stbedes\your_user_name" e.g. "stbedes\fbloggs.2013" (without the inverted commas)
- then type in the password you use to log in to the school network
- important: if your password has expired it will not allow you to change it
make sure you use a backwards slash sign "\", usually found at the bottom left of the keyboard
Teachers have the choice of the staff portal or the student portal.
Students cannot access the staff portal.
