Some personal history

I was born in St Helens (then a part of Lancashire) in the UK.

After leaving Prescot Grammar School, I studied Chemistry at the University of Nottingham and then completed a PGCE in Cheltenham.

I have taught Chemistry, Physics and Science to secondary age children for over thirty years, firstly at the Weald School (Billingshurst, West Sussex) and then at St Bede's School in Cambridge.

Interests

I still follow St Helens Rugby League Club.

I play 12 string acoustic guitar and I am Music Co-ordinator at Bar Hill Church.

During much of my spare time I walk in the countryside and photograph wildlife with my Pentax Kx.
